You could say that the adventure began on 3 June 1957, when Mike Capon was born in his native England.
Mike soon developed a passion for anything with an engine and found himself wearing out his leathers in the British and world road racing championships, winning two titles in the process.
A true jack-of-all-trades and motorsport enthusiast, he cut his teeth in the car industry (including working on the famous Group B car: the MG Metro 6R4) before turning to an area that fascinated him: suspension and, more specifically, shock absorbers.
For over 20 years, he gained experience in this field and specialized in the design and development of shock absorbers. In 2011, Mike set up Shock Factory in Isère.
The company quickly won over a large number of users, all of whom were attracted by a quality product that was affordable, effective and high-performing. This growth meant that Mike didn't stay on his own for long and quickly surrounded himself with competent and qualified people. Now, a whole team manages requests and assembles Shock Factory shock absorbers every day, shipping them all over the world.
